ACS Chain Letter Hoax

We thought this one was dead already, but its been popping up again from
(where else?) America Online.
Also seems to be spread by some users of Juno's free e-mail.

Updated When Necessary!

You may have received recently a chain letter claiming that either the American Cancer Society or a little girl with cancer would receive 3 cents for each piece of e-mail generated by the chain letter.

THIS IS FALSE!

The American Cancer Society e-mail address given in the chain letter is currently inactive, and the ACS website, linked to above, even contains a special notice concerning this bogus chain letter!
And let's face it, folklore lovers, it's not often you find a non-bogus chain letter!

While the letter feeds upon your good intentions, a moment's reflection should reveal that any sort of "donations for e-mail" plan would be impossible to administrate.
